Personal schedule
Previous doses, age, medical conditions and risk factors are reviewed at each preventive visit. Interrupted schedules usually continue rather than restart.
Mild illness
A simple cold or mild illness is usually not a reason to postpone; assess the child first.
After vaccination
Local soreness and low fever are common. Breathing difficulty, facial swelling, widespread hives or collapse require emergency help.
